Ethernet Cabling

Hari ini nak berkongsi berkenaan ethernet cabling . Ada 3 jenis kabel iaitu :-

1. Straight-through cable
2. Crossover cable
3. Rolled Cable

Straight cable digunakan untuk menghubungkan :-

• host to switch or hub
• router to switch or hub 
• Cable Pins 
• 1 1
• 2 2
• 3 3
• 6 6

Crossover cable pula digunakan untuk mengubungkan :-

• switch to switch
• hub to hub
• host to host
• hub to switch 
• router direct to host
• Cable Pins 
  
• 1 3
  
• 2 6
  
• 3 1
  
• 6 2

Rolled cable pula tidak digunakan untuk menghubungkan mana mana ethernet connection bersama-sama, Namun ia boleh digunakan untuk menghubungkan host to a router console serial communication(COM) port.

Tips  :-
1) Same device = Cross
2) Different Device = straight

FXO Dan FXS Ports

Untuk First entry ni, saya nak share tentang FXO dan FXS pot.

FXS (Foreign Exchange Station )  pot selalu digunakan apabila anda menyambungkannya pada telefon, fax machine ataupun modem.

FXO (Foreign Exchange Office) pot pula selalu digunakan apabila anda menyambungkannya pada PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Neywork) ataupun PBX (Private Branch Exchange).
